Tobias let out an abbreviated squeal, and finally dropped his gun.

Ez bolted.

Duke tucked Ez's gun away in the back of his pants (hey, free gun!), and went to crouch down in front of Tobias.

"I don't know what you were going for here?" he said, soft and calm. "But you really fucked up."

Tobias stared at him, panting through his teeth, then nodded. Duke stood and checked his phone.

"Portal's almost here."
